Praxair Surface Technologies (PST), a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc., a Fortune 300 company that supplies atmospheric, process, specialty gases, high performance coatings, and related services & technologies is seeking Sales Agents for our UK Fluoropolymer Coatings business.
The Sales Agent will sell Fluoropolymer Coating services which address the antistick, dry lubrication, corrosion, traction, heat resistance, high purity related coating needs of our customer base.
Sales Agents – Fluoropolymer Coatings • Generate sales within an assigned territory • Accountable for achieving established sales target by seeking out new customers and maintaining productive working relationships with existing customers • Consults with potential coating services customers drawing upon engineering skills and experience to make complex engineering and economic decisions to demonstrate the practical value of the product (e.g., decreased cost and increased quality and productivity) • Develops plans for each account, incorporating fully developed customer needs, including long and short term goals and tactics; determines pricing, issues offers and maximizes revenue • Thoroughly understands and communicates PST's Coating Service Agreements regarding terms and conditions, liability issues and compensation on commercial issues • In the process of doing business with the customers, develops knowledge and collects data on the account's business, products, processes, growth opportunities and customers, to better understand general market and specific customer needs • Maintains good coordination and communication with other sales groups, and functional groups, such as marketing, customer service, production, engineering, logistics, law and others, to ensure the account strategies are aligned with the available resources and market objectives • Represents PST in a professional and dignified manner at all times
PST offers a competitive commission structure for sales achieved in this role
Requirements • High school diploma – Bachelor’s Degree preferred • 2+ years' Sales or Technical Sales or other relevant experience • Excellent human relations and communication skills • Experience selling in or into chemical, converting, printing, paper, textile, rubber, plastic, electronic, and/or oil & gas industries • Familiarity with Sprayed Coatings preferred • Must be able/willing to travel up to 75% of the time
