LEDs are fast replacing traditional light sources, such as incandescent and halogen bulbs. In addition having high efficiency, they are small which makes it possible to create awesome designs for luminaires and lamps. Not to mention being able to have RGB and tunable white.

But looking at typical table lamps currently sold, most of them are based on E27 halogen bulbs. Upgrading them to LEDs means simply changing the halogen bulb to an LED bulb. The design of these table lamps is bound by a 100 year old form factor, the Edison screw. Using E27 LED bulbs in a modern table lamp is like buying an iPhone and using it only for calling. Most of the cool features are left unused.

Most of the table lamp manufacturers would like to design modern and sleek lamps, but they don't have what it takes to fully utilize LEDs. They are used to design a table lamp around E27 socket. That and the cable is the only technology a traditional table lamp needs. Using LEDs requires choosing a right LED driver and finding a suitable place it. And even after that the table lamp could be only switched on and off. No dimming and most certainly, no more advanced features. There are no dimming controls designed for table lamps out there. Well, now there is.

ORIGO is a 2-channel constant current LED driver integrated into a stylish cable switch. With ORIGO the lamp designer can design whatever kind of table lamp he/she wishes. No more E27 sockets and no finding a place for a bulky LED driver. The designer can simply choose optimal LEDs or LED modules for the design and let ORIGO handle the rest. ORIGO has a universal mains voltage power supply, 2-channel LED driver and controls, all external to the table lamp.

ORIGO is versatile. With ORIGO it is possible to do a simple one channel dimmable table lamp, or a lamp with separately controlled LEDs for up and down lights, or even a lamp with tunable white. The same product can be easily configured into any of these three modes.

Avalum is now looking for sales agents in EU for selling ORIGO. The target customer is any company manufacturing high quality table lamps. The sales agents will be responsible for all customers within their specified country or area.

An ideal candidate:
- has experience in dealing with both small and large manufacturers in lighting industry,
- has an existing network of contacts and
- is fluent in English and in the language of the designated area.
